Update: January 26, 2024

This notice is to make all bidders aware that the final day to submit a proposal to the Aleutian East Borough School District, FCC Form 470 Application # 240016703 for is: Friday, February 23, 2024 at 4:30 pm (AST).

Response to questions given on Feb 5, 2024:

1. We would like to present our proposal and provide time for questions and answers.  Will the district schedule a date/time for proposal presentation?

Vendors will be given a time to present their proposals after the bidding period has closed.

2. Please confirm that the sites with available fiber are Sand Point and the District Office.

Locations with current access to fiber include Sand Point, the District Office, King Cove and Akutan.

3. Will the School District provide a current network diagram for the District?

The District will provide a current network diagram if a new vendor is chosen through the bidding process.

4. The District is under contract through June 30, 2026, with the current provider.  Is it the intent of AEBSD to cancel the contract and enter into one with a new provider if the solution and pricing scores higher than the current provider?

Based on the results of the bidding process the district will make a decision based on its needs.
