Check out this article about the Ulux̂tax̂ built by the students and community of False Pass!
False Pass came together last spring to build a traditional Ulux̂tax̂, led by Marc Daniels, and his apprentice Christian Powell. The community was able to build and launch the Ulux̂tax̂, with students participating from the planning and building to the launch and kayaking.
As a team, they successfully completed this project and gave students lifelong memories of accomplishing a wonderful project. False Pass Principal Teacher Matt Brown and False Pass parent Nikki Hoblet both played integral parts in overseeing this project to fruition.
Student Hannah Yatchmeneff said, "Making and seeing people build this Ulux̂tax̂ was one of the most fun things ever. I can't express how grateful I am to be a part of this historic event."
We are thankful for the community of False Pass, and for parents and staff who care so much about our students!
