🌟 CAREER CONNECTIONS 🌟
We’re Looking for Professionals to Inspire Our Students!
We want to introduce our students to professionals from a variety of fields so they can learn what different careers are really like.
Presenters will have the opportunity to:
Share your career journey and experiences
Explain what you do and what a typical day looks like
Tell students about the education and training your career requires
Share the skills that are important in your field
Explain how math and science are used in your career
Answer questions from curious students
Inspire students to consider career paths they may not have known about

🗑️ Career Day at Akutan School! 🌎
Where does our trash go after we throw it away? What happens to it once it reaches the landfill? And what does it take to manage waste in a rural community?
Join us for Career Day as our students learn from a Rural Landfill Specialist about an important career that helps protect our community and environment!
Students will have the opportunity to:
🔹 Learn what a landfill specialist does
🔹 Discover how science and math are used in waste management
🔹 Explore the challenges of managing waste in a rural community
🔹 Learn about protecting our land and water
🔹 Ask questions about careers in environmental science and waste management
This presentation will help students connect career exploration with their upcoming Math & Science Fair projects in the Spring and discover how math and science are used in real-world careers.
Come learn with us as we ask: “When you throw something in the trash, where does it really go?” 🗑️🌎
